GWILR encourages submission of articles, essays, and book reviews based on public or private international law, comparative law, or related issues. We only accept submissions from people with a J.D. or an equivalent degree. Law student submissions will not be considered.

GWILR requires that the subject matter of the writings we publish focus on timely international law topics. To be considered, more than 50% of the article must address an international legal issue. Articles, essays, and book reviews should be typed in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Submissions to Scholastica are strongly encouraged; submissions sent to eae.gwilr@law.gwu.edu will also be considered. Due to the volume of submissions, GWILR will not be able to respond to every email submission
**Authors must submit (1) a complete copy of the proposed article; (2) an abstract; and (3) the author’s curriculum vitae.**

Citations to authority should be contained in footnotes. All references to facts or thoughts other than the author’s own must be substantiated by reference to at least one authoritative source, including pincites. Footnotes should be cross-referenced. The editorial staff reserves the right to transfer text to the footnotes or vice versa.
